Neurotechnology-based Therapeutic Headband for Mental and Physical Symptoms of Menstruation

Delayed diagnosis for women's health conditions leads to a lack of timely pharmacological treatment for millions. On average, it takes eight years for women to be diagnosed with endometriosis, despite two-thirds experiencing severe menstrual pain. Similarly, premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), which causes low mood, anxiety, and irritability, typically goes untreated for more than a decade. Using non-invasive brain stimulation, our wearable therapeutic headband helps speed diagnosis while treating low mood, anxiety, and irritability (PMS), and menstrual pain in women aged 18-55. We collect valuable real-world evidence and evaluate the risk of having or developing endometriosis, uterine fibroids, or depression. We identify and capture patients early and encourage them to pursue diagnoses and pharmacological treatment or to join a clinical trial. Our wearable therapeutic headband supports immediate short-term relief of pain and mood symptoms, particularly in the pre-diagnosis stage, and pairs extremely well with longer-term therapeutic solutions. Over 300 women have used our solution to get relief from the early symptoms of underlying conditions they may soon be diagnosed with. We plan to expand beyond diagnosis and symptom treatment to support therapeutic solutions and access to care for endometriosis, depression, hormone replacement therapies, and reproductive cancers.
