Pharma has had difficulty reaching and engaging the Black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) populations due to their historical lack of trust and negative perceptions of the industry. Today pharma struggles to recruit Black women and people of color for clinical trials, resulting in a lack of diversity. We have built the largest patient engagement, education, and care platform for Black women and women of color, helping them find culturally responsive, trusted healthcare providers. Our platform also improves the health literacy, health management, and self-advocacy of our members. We have 11,000 members in our community and are working with a pharma company and a health plan to extend access to our platform and proprietary curricula to more women of color. Our platform already covers a wide variety of women’s health issues and will soon include telehealth consultations focused on fibroids. We plan to add new therapeutic areas, develop a real-world data pipeline, and build trial recruitment capabilities that leverage our trusted platform.
